The letter V stands for a win, for getting through, or for calm. As a Roman figure it can equal five.
Vacant
An empty lot is a need for space and time alone. A vacancy can also be something missing from your life.
Vacation
Time away means you need a break from routine, or you are rewarding yourself for work already done. A miserable trip means waking duties followed you and you are coping poorly.
Vaccination
A shot means a hurt now will protect you later, so take better care of yourself. Someone else receiving it means other people's wishes are steering you.
Vacuum
A vacuum is emptiness, or a cleanup of outdated ideas. Being sucked up means a problem is taking control.
Vagina
For a woman, this is femininity and her attitude toward sex, or fertility and warmth. Another woman's, as a symbol, is sexual need or a project coming to life.
Vagrant
Being without a home means you want out of social confines, or it mirrors poverty. Speaking kindly and giving to one means generosity and good friends around you.
Valedictorian
Standing first in the class is accomplishment and the high bar you set, looking back on success.
Valentine
Sending cards means you need to show more affection. Receiving one is likability and a kind heart.
Valentine's Day
This day is a relationship beginning or turning warmer, and a prompt to tell someone you love them.
Valet
Parking cars for others means you lack your own direction and keep serving their goals. Handing over your own car means other people steer your route.
Valley
A valley is fertility and a wish to be sheltered. Walking through one can be a symbolic ending and a hard stretch before insight.
Valve
A valve says keep calm under pressure. Do not panic.
Vampire
A vampire mixes charm with harm, fear, and a pull you know is bad for you. It can also be a decision about sex, or the feeling of being drained by someone obsessive.
Van
A van is convenience and what you can realistically carry. Driving it into water means an emotional journey is ahead.
Vandalism
Doing the damage is repressed anger at unjust treatment. Watching it is a passive-aggressive streak that needs a more direct outlet.
Vanilla
The scent or taste is a welcoming situation, or purity and innocence.
Vanish

Vanity
A dressing table means prepare and put your best face forward. More directly, you may be too vain.
Vape
Vaping says let anger out. If you do not do it awake, the picture is passive rebellion against authority.
Varnishing
A glossy coat means you are covering a flaw or putting up a front that is not you.
Vase
A vase is the womb and a feminine openness to criticism, or creativity. An ornate one wants the center of attention.
Vasectomy
For a man, this procedure points to dissatisfaction with sex life, or to doubt about self-image. Keep it symbolic.
Vaseline
This ointment is a soothing touch for a sore issue, and a readiness to heal an emotional hurt and move on.
Vat
A large tub is the womb and security. What is inside shows how a relationship treats you.
Vatican
This place is renewed hope and a deep spiritual clarity, or an unexpected gain that arrives through other people.
Vault
A vault is hidden potential and personal resources. Use the reserves you have kept locked.
Vaulting
A gymnastic leap is drive toward a goal and the obstacle in the way. How hard the move is matches your confidence.
VCR
A recorder means something should be documented, or a past lesson you can still use. It also asks what impression you leave behind.
Veal
Eating veal means immature behavior and inexperience. Your own views about the meat, including if you avoid it, change the tone.
Vegetables
Vegetables are a need for spiritual nourishment, or a missing nutrient. Withered ones are sadness.
Vegetarian
If you are not one awake, choosing this diet is strict self-discipline, or a lack of substance somewhere in life.
Vegetation
Thick growth is obstacles you must clear in order to grow and move on.
Vehicle
Riding in a car, boat, or train shows how much control you have, depending on who drives. Being thrown from it is a quick temper.
Veil
A veil hides something; appearances mislead. On a man it can be a feminine side to acknowledge.
Vein
A vein can mean you are shielded from slander. Bleeding, as a symbol, foretells deep sorrow.
Veins
Veins are a test of character. Do not take for granted what seems to come easily.
Velcro
This fastener is a sticky situation, or something you need to reach quickly. On a shoe it is a shortcut to success.
Velociraptor
This dinosaur means you linger in the past and missed a chance because you were too slow.

Velvet
Velvet is distinction, honor, and sensual feeling. Velvet pants emphasize the sensual side.
Velvet Rope
The rope means access and a feeling of privilege. It also says you can leave a path once the passion is gone.
Vending Machine
A machine of snacks is a goal just out of reach. A little more effort brings it.
Veneer
A thin surface layer is deception. You are posing as someone else.
Venereal Disease
This illness, as a symbol, is contamination, physical or emotional, and a bond in which you feel victimized. It can also be fear of sex or unbalanced sexual energy.
Venom
Poison from a bite is pent-up hostility, yours or someone else's. It can also be thin self-love and insecurity.
Vent
A vent is an outlet for feeling. Dust on it means you are avoiding certain emotions.
Ventriloquist
A performer with a dummy is deception aimed at you, or dishonorable conduct toward people who trusted you. It can also mean you are trying to control the people around you.
Venus
This planet or goddess is love, desire, beauty, and femininity, and the things you cherish.
Venus Flytrap
This plant is a powerful, devouring woman, or a snappish mood. Being eaten by it means a dominant woman is overwhelming you.
Veranda
Standing on a porch means you will get past a problem that has been making you anxious. It is also your outlook.
Verdict
A verdict says face the truth. You are being judged for your actions.
Vermin
Crawling pests mean sickness, trouble, and a string of obstacles. They can also mark a dirty situation.
Vertical
A vertical line leans toward the spiritual and the uncanny.
Vertigo
Dizziness is imbalance and thin confidence, with anxiety in a situation.
Vessels
A vessel stands for labor and activity, or for a major emotional issue.
Vest
A vest is compassion for others, or a play on having a stake in a person or a cause.
Veterinarian
This doctor says tame instinct so it is acceptable among other people.
Vex
Being vexed mirrors waking annoyances. Address them or they will keep returning at night.
Vibrate
A vibration says listen to intuition and to feeling. It can also be a sexual need.
Vibrator
This object is a wish to wake sexuality. Keep the picture symbolic.
Vicar
A vicar says recognize your spiritual needs.
Victim
Being a victim means you feel overpowered and helpless. It can also mean you will not own your choices.
Victorian
This era is sexual repression and clothes that confine you. The word can also point to someone named Vicky or Victoria, or to victory.
Victory
Winning is confidence, and a reminder that picturing success helps you reach it.
Video
Editing footage means you are managing how others see you so life looks smoother than it is.
Video Camera
Filming asks for a cooler, more objective decision. Someone else filming you is a look back at old memories.
Video Chat
A video call is a wish to connect in feeling and in mind. It can also mean keep your distance from a situation.
Video Game
Play can mean you steer other people, or you escape problems instead of facing them. The game and the character add detail.
Video Store
The shelves are chapters of your life. The title you reach for may mirror waking events.
Videotape
Watching a tape says stop and rest. The title may be a memory or a repressed thought playing out.
Vigil
Attending a vigil is a search for comfort and shared understanding in a hard situation.
Viking
A raider means you feel violated and face a confrontation. Being one is exploration underneath, and a chance taken in an emotional bond.
Viking Hat
The horned hat is a wish to stand out, or to break out of a shell.
Village
A village is restriction and rules, or community, simplicity, and tradition.
Villain
A villain is the negative side of you that you are ashamed of.
Vinegar
A sour taste is a sour feeling about a situation or a bond. It can also say make the best of a bad stretch and worry less.
Vines
Vines are ambitious hopes, or a clingy bond you want to escape. Grape vines add reward and a spiritual note.
Vineyard
Rows of vines are the fruit of your labor. The work pays off later.
Vinyl
Wearing vinyl is limited freedom, or a shield against emotional hurt. Seeing the material means you are not being genuine.

Viola
This instrument is deeper, darker feeling. Playing it is control over emotion.
Violated
Feeling violated is oppression by people or by circumstances, and a path you feel you cannot change. Do not blame yourself for what you could not steer.
Violence
Violence is anger you have not expressed, and a need for more discipline. Harm turned on yourself is guilt and helplessness; harm turned on others is a fight with part of yourself.
Violet
This color is high spirituality, gentleness, and peace, with an intuitive closeness.
Violets
These flowers are passion, joy, and humility. They can also be shyness that keeps you in the background.
Violin
A violin is peace. A broken one is separation and sadness.
Viper
A viper is hidden fear, or a malicious person. Watch for people working against you.
Virgin
Virginity here is purity and potential, emotional as much as physical. If it is not true awake, the picture is regret you should stop rehearsing.
Virgin Mary
This figure is selfless love, compassion, and ideal motherhood. She can also stand for intimacy feared and pushed down, and for trouble in personal bonds.
Virgo
This sign is caution, purity, and a drive toward perfection in the details. It can also be a release of feeling.
Virus
A computer virus means some part of life is out of control or has crashed. Illness in the body, as a symbol, is strain you are not coping with, and a prompt to notice your health.
Vise
A clamp means you feel confined and cannot fully express yourself.
Vishnu
This deity is love, mercy, and truth, and a sign you need time to contemplate.
Vision
Blocked sight means a judgment error; something is unclear. Visions themselves are a mind wandering free of restraint.
Visit
Visiting someone says reconnect. You may have neglected that bond.
Visitor
A guest brings news, or love nearby, or a new phase. An unwelcome guest is refusal to accept change.
Vitamins
A vitamin strengthens willpower so you can stand up for yourself. It can also mirror diet and a missing nutrient.
Vivisection
Cutting into a living animal, as a symbol, is something you are desperate to remove from your life. The animal's traits point to the part of you involved.
Vizier
An adviser says question authority and do not follow blindly. Being one is influence over others.
Vlogging
Recording your life is a need for an outlet and someone to hear your problems. It can also be the frustration of talking and getting nothing back.
Voguing
Striking poses is attitude and confidence, or an overly ideal view. It can mean you are in fashion.
Voice
Voices carry a message from underneath or from a spiritual side. The word also says speak your opinion more loudly.
Voice Mail
A saved message is advice you overlooked and still need. Apply what it says.
Voiceless
Having no voice is a loss of identity and of power to stand up for yourself.
Volcano
An eruption is emotion you cannot hold, ready to hurt people around you. A dormant peak is an old issue already settled.
Voldemort
This villain is an evil force working against you. Being him is a darker side that can do great things by questionable means.
Volleyball
This game is indecision and trouble committing, or the need to cooperate instead of doing everything alone.
Volume
Turning sound up means you demand to be heard and feel overlooked. Turning it down means you refuse to hear something.
Volunteer
Offering help is the value of charity, and a situation that needs you. It can also say take more initiative.
Vomiting
Being sick this way means reject something revolting in your life, then let it go. Someone else doing it is false pretense from people who want to use you.
Voodoo
Practicing it is an attempt to ward off negative energy around you. A doll is a shadowy, primitive side of yourself.

Vote
Casting a ballot is a wish to join a wider circle and to be accepted in public. It also means you are speaking your mind.

A voucher is effort you have already invested, and new chances opening because of it.
Vow
A vow is a promise that will affect other people, and a reminder not to let them down. Marriage vows are commitment to a partner.
Voyage
A long journey is profit, self-discovery, and emotional progress. The scenery and the way you travel match your mood.
Voyeurism
Watching in secret means you fear your own desires, and you fear getting close to a relationship or a situation.
Vulture
This bird is purification and insight drawn from the past. It can also mean someone is waiting to take advantage.
Vultures
A group of them still means insight from past experience, or opportunists watching for a moment of weakness.
Vulva
This stands for creative energy.
