Dream Dictionary
A dictionary from the Spellbook — symbols A–Z, and themes from Alphabet through Wedding.
The symbol list and themes follow the Dream Moods A–Z dictionary and theme pages. The readings here are written for the Spellbook. A symbol is a reading, not a prediction.
A wedding is a binding and a beginning. It can be joy, a vow you want, or a promise you are not sure you can keep.
A
Amorous
Feeling amorous is temptation, and private appetite may pull you into scandal. Other people, or animals, in that mood can lure you toward desires that will not satisfy.
Anniversary
An anniversary accepts some part of yourself. A wedding date celebrates love; a solemn one marks a new start or reminds you of an important day.
Annulment
An annulment means you are refusing to admit something.
Arranged Marriage
An arranged marriage means you feel forced into a stage you did not choose, with no voice in the matter.
B
Bachelor
An unmarried man is a search for freedom in love. Being one points to a shaky sense of self inside a bond, or to your masculine side.
Bride
The woman in white is a union. Fleeing the ceremony means the coming commitment still feels impossible; if you are single, the role is a wish to marry or the most feminine part of you.
Bridegroom
If you are a woman, the man beside the bride is a wish for a committed partnership.
Bridesmaid
Standing with the couple, but not as the one marrying, a romance may be near. The old saying can mean you want a commitment of your own.
E
Elopement
Eloping means you are trying to escape daily problems while keeping spirit, feeling, and ordinary life in some balance.
Engagement
An engagement means a wish for commitment and security, or loneliness you want resolved. Breaking one means a hasty decision, and a business engagement means worry at work.
Engagement Ring
An engagement ring means you are weighing a long commitment. If you plan to ask, the ring also holds the nerves around that question.
F
Formal
A formal event means the room requires careful manners, or that you suspect your own manner has grown showy.
G
H
Honeymoon
A honeymoon is unease or hunger for a new spark in sex and in the relationship. It can also be the wish for a devoted partnership.
Husband
Your husband here is the waking bond and feelings you have not said aloud. If you have no husband, the figure is the wish for partnership or for steady masculine support.
I
In-Law
An in-law is a working relationship with many possible tones, and a prompt to yield a little. It can also pun on being careful and playing by the rules.
K
Kiss
A kiss is affection, ease, and a wish for more warmth in a bond. Kissing someone of your own sex, or kissing yourself, is acceptance of the side of you that you have kept quiet; a kiss forced on you is someone pushing their will onto yours.
L
Love
Love here is strong feeling carried from a waking bond, and contentment with where you are. It can also be the lack of love, and the wish to belong; saying it and hearing nothing back means the bond feels uneven.
M
P
Proposal
A proposal joins you to a side of yourself you had not known, or it is real thought about marriage or a long commitment. Your reaction shows how you actually feel.
R
T
V
W
Wedding
A wedding is a new beginning and your questions about commitment and independence. It can also carry anxiety, bitterness, or a symbolic sense of ending.
See also Marriage.
Wedding Cake
Cutting the cake is harmony at home and a bright stretch ahead. Eating it is sensuality.
Wedding Dress
The dress means you are assessing a personal bond. Worn in the wrong setting, it is a feeling of being unworthy.
Wedding Ring
A ring is completeness and lasting love. Finding one when you are unmarried means a bond has reached a new level.
Wife
Your wife points to discord and feelings you are not saying. If you have no wife, she is the feminine side of you, or a wish for that bond.
