Dream Dictionary
A dictionary from the Spellbook — symbols A–Z, and themes from Alphabet through Wedding.
The symbol list and themes follow the Dream Moods A–Z dictionary and theme pages. The readings here are written for the Spellbook. A symbol is a reading, not a prediction.
A number can be a count, a year, or a nudge about where you stand. A long number may be a date, or you can add the digits down to one figure and read that.
0–9
0 - Zero
Zero encourages you to notice a void, and also the completeness of a circle: freedom, a full cycle, or effort that only loops.
1 - One
One encourages individuality, leadership, and confidence. It can also mean solitude, or a higher spiritual force.
10 - Ten
Ten encourages closure, strength, and gain. It also recalls law and a set of commandments.
100 - One-Hundred
One hundred encourages perfection and giving a task everything you have.

These digits encourage a search for guidance toward the right path.

These digits encourage you to treat a setback as a cue to try another approach.

This count encourages perfection, wholeness, and unity, and it can carry the same note as seven. It may also be a station, an address, or another waking association.
11 - Eleven
Eleven encourages intuition, mastery, and vision. Two parallel marks can be a partnership or, turned sideways, a wish for equality.

Repeated ones encourage motivation, independence, and quick progress, and they cast you as an example for others.
12 - Twelve
Twelve encourages spiritual strength, divine completeness, and cycles that repeat.
13 - Thirteen
Thirteen encourages you through an ending that is also a beginning. Obstacles stand in the way, and many people also read the count as bad luck.
14 - Fourteen
Fourteen encourages flexibility when circumstances shift, and it warns that appetite is outrunning the goal.
15 - Fifteen
Fifteen encourages the sense that hard conditions are about to dissolve.
16 - Sixteen
Sixteen encourages innocence, tenderness, and a cleansing that ends the old so the new can start. It can also mark a coming of age.
17 - Seventeen
Seventeen encourages attention to the soul.
18 - Eighteen
Eighteen encourages you to notice the clash between material wants and spiritual ones, and it warns of deceit. It is also a gateway into adult duty.
19 - Nineteen
Nineteen encourages independence and standing up for yourself. It also shows a stubborn refusal of help.
2 - Two
Two encourages balance, partnership, and cooperation, or a doubling of strength or of weakness. The world here is made of pairs.
20 - Twenty
Twenty encourages you to seek support if you feel isolated. It can also mean you are seeing a matter with clearer sight.
21 - Twenty-One
Twenty-one encourages a turning point into full adulthood and the duties that come with it. It can also mean luck at cards.
22 - Twenty-Two
Twenty-two encourages mental capacity and a more practical, goal-minded approach.
23 - Twenty-Three
Twenty-three encourages you to notice a habit of pleasing people, and goals that may be too ideal to reach.
24 - Twenty-Four
Twenty-four encourages reward, love, money, and creativity, and contact with people of high rank. It can also mean a full day, or arrogance about success.
25 - Twenty-Five
Twenty-five encourages you to leave a problem instead of dwelling on it.
26 - Twenty-Six
Twenty-six encourages attention to the earth and to karma.
27 - Twenty-Seven
Twenty-seven encourages unconditional love and a commitment to help.
28 - Twenty-Eight
Twenty-eight encourages easy money, and it can share the note of ten.
29 - Twenty-Nine
Twenty-nine encourages teamwork: trust the people you work with and depend on one another.
3 - Three
Three encourages vitality, imagination, and completion, often as a trilogy of past, present, and future or of body, mind, and soul. A third try may be the one that works.

Thirty encourages you to notice superficial feeling, in yourself or in someone else.

Thirty-two encourages you to notice emotional numbness.

Thirty-three encourages high potential and spiritual awareness.

Repeated threes encourage you to ask for guidance. You have lost the way and need help back onto it.

Thirty-four encourages perseverance and intellect gained from earlier mistakes.

Thirty-five encourages you to notice a fixed routine, and that harmony may be missing.

Thirty-six encourages you to look at your inhibitions.
39 - Thirty-Nine
Thirty-nine encourages understanding, thoughtfulness, and mental strength.
4 - Four
Four encourages stability, hard labor, and earthly limits, including the four elements, and a practical way of finishing tasks. It can play on taking a side.
40 - Forty
Forty encourages patience: time is with you, in a season of cleansing and growth.
42 - Forty-Two
Forty-two encourages the pull between opposites.
43 - Forty-Three
Forty-three encourages a wish to follow a set method and a set hour. You like the rules.
44 - Forty-Four
Forty-four encourages a sacred union.
49 - Forty-Nine
Forty-nine encourages you to face what is real.
5 - Five
Five encourages boldness, action, and humanity, and it recalls the five senses, so be more sensitive. It can also mean change your course.
50 - Fifty
Fifty encourages what is holy, plus joy and celebration. It can also mean a fair half.

Repeated fives encourage you through a major change and a life-altering decision.
6 - Six
Six encourages cooperation, warmth, family, and love, with mind, feeling, and spirit in harmony. Home life is blessed.

Sixty encourages attention to time: it may be running out, or it may mean long life.

These digits encourage you that the personal or work decision in front of you is the right path.

Repeated sixes encourage you to notice wrongdoing or an illicit pull. Traditional readings tie the count to evil; treat it as a warning, not a command.
7 - Seven
Seven encourages mental completeness, healing, music, and a high spiritual note. It can recall seven days, seven sins, or seven centers, and also an eccentric streak.
70 - Seventy
Seventy encourages completeness. You are enjoying life.
76 - Seventy-Six
Seventy-six encourages plans coming to fruit through hard work, and it carries a spiritual note.

Repeated sevens encourage luck and perfection, with things moving in your favor. Some call it a divine count and a sign you will get past evil.
8 - Eight
Eight encourages power, success, karma, and wealth, and it says trust instinct. It can also pun on something you need to digest.
80 - Eighty
Eighty encourages success and goals being realized as you move ahead.
9 - Nine
Nine encourages completion, rebirth, and reform, with long life in the traditional reading. The path in front of you is a useful one.

This count encourages you to treat the situation as urgent and to ask for help. A call that no one answers means an authority takes you for granted, or a matter you dismissed actually needs you now.
99 - Ninety-Nine
Ninety-nine encourages you to look for a misunderstanding in a personal relationship.
