Panties reflect a feminine point of view. Taking them off is your idea of sexuality, or a wish to reach what is actually underneath.

A petticoat is reluctance to reveal something, a modest or conservative cover.
Platform Shoe
Platform shoes say stand tall and aim higher. They can pun on a political platform, or recall an easy, party-minded era.
