Dream Dictionary
A dictionary from the Spellbook — symbols A–Z, and themes from Alphabet through Wedding.
The symbol list and themes follow the Dream Moods A–Z dictionary and theme pages. The readings here are written for the Spellbook. A symbol is a reading, not a prediction.
People in a dream are often a piece of you, or a conversation you have not finished. Ask what quality that person is carrying.
B
Baby
A baby is innocence and a beginning, or a tender part of you that needs care. Neglected, weeping, or no longer alive, it means potential is ignored or something that was yours has ended.
Bachelor
An unmarried man is a search for freedom in love. Being one points to a shaky sense of self inside a bond, or to your masculine side.
Bailiff
This officer means you crossed a line and must answer for it. An arrest by one questions your ethics at work.
Ballerina
Dancing on pointe, you move through obstacles with ease, though the image also holds frailty and a harsh standard of beauty. Someone you know in the role is avoiding a direct talk.
Bartender
Serving drinks means you want out from under daily demands. The role can also mean you are barring yourself from something.
Bookkeeper
Keeping the ledgers means life needs balance. You may also need to answer for a circumstance.
Boss
The person in charge is your own authoritative side, or work that has crowded out freedom, and fear of them is fear of authority while sex with them is a wish for control. If you are not one while awake, the role says take charge of where you are headed.
Boy Scout
If you never were one, the uniform is commitment, community, and helpfulness. Seeing one means exemplary conduct and the ranks you still mean to earn.
Bride
The woman in white is a union. Fleeing the ceremony means the coming commitment still feels impossible; if you are single, the role is a wish to marry or the most feminine part of you.
Brother
He stands for the bond you have with him, or for traits you share with a close friend. Anger you will not say while awake can surface here, and the phrase about being watched names issues of authority.
Bus Driver
The person at the wheel is leadership of a group idea, or motion that circles without progress. Being that person means you are moving fast and need more patience.
