Dream Dictionary

A dictionary from the Spellbook — symbols A–Z, and themes from Alphabet through Wedding.

The symbol list and themes follow the Dream Moods A–Z dictionary and theme pages. The readings here are written for the Spellbook. A symbol is a reading, not a prediction.

Insects are the small worries that will not leave you alone. A bite, a swarm, or a crawl shows how that worry behaves.

  • Bee

The insect at the hive is luck, harmony, and work that ends sweetly, or a life already buzzing. A sting is a wounding remark; the queen is a dominant woman.

    Bugs

  • Bees

A swarm is luck and industry, with sweet results if the work continues, or a life already full of noise. The queen is a dominant woman; a sting is a remark that wounded you.

    Bugs

  • Beetle

The hard-shelled insect is a destructive influence, or values that feel compromised. Crawling all over you, small irritations are piling up.

    Bugs

  • Black Widow

The spider is fear inside a relationship that feels trapping, even hostility toward a partner. The female's reputation also names power over men.

    Bugs

  • Bug

The small creature is anxiety, something bothering you, or a strong tie to a hobby. Endless numbers in the hair mean a minor matter has been enlarged; under the skin, a situation makes you deeply uncomfortable.

    Bugs

  • Bumblebee

The heavy bee is distress and problems on the way.

    Bugs

  • Bumblebees

A group of the heavy bees is distress, with problems approaching.

    Bugs

  • Butterfly

The winged insect is change, joy, and thought taking a different shape, or a scattered focus that needs to settle. Two mean a long romance; a dead one is a goal unrealized, and pinning one down is possessiveness.
